1. Tell me about the origin of Javascript.

 Javascript is a high-level, dynamic, untyped, and interpreted programming language. Netscape cashed in on Java and renamed it Javascript in their website code. Even though Java and Javascript have similar names, they are entirely different languages and serve completely different purposes. Internet Explorer adopted a program called vbscript and the other was Jscript, which was very similar to Javascript. Netscape was much more popular than Internet Explorer and over time Jscript integrated more and more which made it very similar to Javascript. When Internet Explorer became the dominant web browser, javascript became the accepted standard for writing interactive processing to be run in the web browser.
